A Year Consulting On My Own, Ready For 2019

by | Jan 7, 2019 | Blog

It’s that time we all look back on the previous year and wondered what the heck will play out the coming year. 2018 was not great for everyone, but mine was quite incredible.

I saw growth personally and professionally that I would have never guessed. Going solo & working with select team members has been a blessing and a radical change to my life. I am grateful for everyone that supported me this last year, you know who you are. I have had great experiences with amazing clients, contractors, friends and family.

I love helping businesses and people grow. We all have strengths and weaknesses and I appreciate those that have brought me onto their team to help them reach their goals with my strengths.

It is hard to look forward without looking back where we came from and consider the path. We can look back and ignore it or we can take the good and bad from it to build out next steps. There are many ways we can map out our goals and contemplate the path we took.

Quotes are powerful. One of my favorite is about free will and our choices we have in life. It has made my work rooted in a philosophy of personal responsibility.

“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives – choice, not chance, determines your destiny.”

I like to ignore the concept of fate and accept that many things in life are rooted in the choices we have made to bring us to that situation. I hope to carry that mindset with me going forward and dedicate this coming year to another quote on perseverance and a focus of my specialty.

My motto for the 2019 year will be rooted in the action oriented focus on my work for my own projects and clients.

“Those that know, do. Those that understand, teach.”

There are so many teachers out there and we owe them so much for what they have done for the people they have mentored. In a world where every marketer can teach another marketer how to teach a marketer, I hope I can find my place as someone that simply does work and builds any auxiliary knowledge needed along the journey.

Here is to a year of agile & action oriented marketing

Thank you for taking the time to listen. I look forward to another strong and successful year!
